Charles “Ronnie” Ronald Byrnes, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at his residence in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on November 26, 2025. He was 67 years old.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William Charles Byrnes and Margaret Elizabeth Harrison, Ronnie grew up surrounded by a close-knit family, who were central to his life. He was a devoted family man who treasured every moment spent with his nieces and nephews, often serving as a source of joy, support, and laughter in their lives.
Ronnie had a warm and giving nature, and those who knew him best remembered his love for animals, particularly his cats, who brought him great comfort and companionship. He also enjoyed shopping, finding simple pleasures in daily routines and the things that made him happy. His kindness, humor, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister, Patty Ford, and his brother, Buddy Lindsey, both of whom he missed dearly. His passing has left a hole in the hearts of his surviving family members: his brother, Martin Byrnes, and his sister, Sandy Lindsey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will always remember him fondly for the love and care he showed them.
In keeping with Ronnie’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details of the service will be shared with loved ones in the near future, providing an opportunity to honor his memory and share cherished stories of his life.
Arrangements have been entrusted to J. C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel, who are providing their support to the family during this time of loss.
Ronnie’s passing leaves a deep void, but his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
